The all new Taylor Jenson TJ Pro longboard in the amazing Thunderbolt Black. Taylor Jensen is one of the top high-performance long boarders in the world and is rolling out his proven Firewire Timbertek shapes in the ground breaking Thunderbolt longboard construction. Taylor and Dan Mann developed the TJ Pro with slightly more aggressive bottom contours and a touch more kick in the tail than Taylor's standard longboard. The TJ Pro will go vertical while still maximizing the fun of cruising on a longer board. This is Taylor Jenson's high-performance longboard, which he was riding to his 3 WSL World Longboard Titles.
Setup with the single fin and side bites the TJ Pro is going to give you all the wave catching of a longboard, with maximum performance off the tail. This is the longboard if you want to take a performance approach to your longboarding, want to take a longboard out in bigger or powerful surf, or normally surf a shortboard or hybrid and looking to keep that familiar approach in the line-up.
CONSTRUCTION: Thunderbolt Black Technology
Thunderbolt Black Surfboards are suited to larger waves due to their more responsive carbon construction. Thunderbolt Black surfboards are hand crafter for a classic feel with enhanced response. Starting off with an EPS foam blank, a high density foam block is installed into the blank to provide a secure anchor point for the fin box. AVT flex control components are laminated to the bottom in an A shape, then a tapered groove is cut into the deck for the AVT stringer in a T shape, which is laminated onto the deck and pressed into the groove at specific depths.
AVT flex control components are laminated to the deck, in a V shape. This combination AVT shape defines the flex, responsiveness and feel of the board creating a waistline component which creates a pivot point for tail flex, and stores the energy generated by natural flexing and twisting forces generated during a turn, which then releases through the board and fin launching the board forward. Hand laminated fiberglass layer and PVC shell lock AVT flex control components in, then is cured in a mould for precise rocker and shape. Thunderbolt black blanks are laminated in carbon making them a bit stiffer than the thunderbolt red construction. Designed in Japan, for the world.
